C7 and C9 Bulbs
C7 and C9 bulbs are the 2 most popular styles that will be used in your installations. The faceted cover gives it a diamond look that allows the light to distribute more evening giving it a brighter glow. Most bulbs these days use SMD (surface mounted diodes) chips which is the latest technology for an LED bulb. Most SMD bulbs are rated up to 60,000 hours of use.
A few things to look for when purchasing c7 and C9 bulbs are;
C7 Bulbs are smaller than a C9 and use a E12 base socket line.

These days, consumers are thinking more and more about how to save money. One way you can save them money is by offering LED products.
LED’s use about 80% less energy than Incandescent bulbs. SMD (Surface Mounted Diode) is an newer style LED chip that is brighter then the standard LED’s and gives off more of an even glow. The above images give you a comparison of the two. As you can see, the SMD chip is a lot smaller then the LED diodes on the left which is the older style LED.
Christmas Light bulbs used to need 5 LED’s but now with the new SMD chips, you can achieve the same brightness with only 3 chips.

Other Types of Bulbs
There are many other types of bulbs that are available to you for all different types of installations. It is important to keep your portfolio you offer to customers to only products you typically carry. Showing customers products you don’t carry may result in you having to track the items down and potentially losing a sale because its not readily available or the shipping time doesn’t meet their needs.
Here are some other types of bulbs that you may find yourself installing;
S14 Bulbs-These are very popular at restaurants and backyards. The S14 bulb has an E27 larger base that gives off a beautiful glow.


G Series Bulbs-These can be used as a substitute for the S14. This type of bulb comes in a variety of sizes including G20, G30, G40 and G50. The G series bulb comes in an E12, E17 and E27 base and available in multiple colors.
